Charlie and Robyn are co-directors of LAOWAI Collab, and dance artists based in Berkshire and Hampshire, we perform and teach extensively for 4motion Dance Theatre in a range of primary, secondary and Special educational need schools. Our teaching work is complimented by our dedication to LAOWAI Collab, previously known as Charlie Dixon Dance company. 

 

Charlie graduated from Laban in 2011 and Robyn graduated from the University of Chichester(MAP Dance) also in 2011.  We are now collectively teaching for a wide range of schools for the Windsor and Slough sports partnership. This entails liaising with local schools and colleges and working with students to create individual dance pieces for each group to perform.

 

LAOWAI Collab was born whilst both teaching Dance and English in Chengdu, China. Creating many opportunities and experiences, that now drives our choreographic aspirations. 

LAOWAI Collab aims to create infinitive works whilst using experiences from living abroad. Combining offbeat cultures, landscapes, language and forms to propel an enthralling and haphazard output. We are developing an educational outreach programme, which includes a professional performances, various creative workshops for adults and children and movement therapy classes in partnership which Dimensions UK.
